Fostering Change: ATAB and Minister Khan’s Productive Dialogue

Excited to share that Abdus Salam Aref, Secretary of ATAB, held a constructive meeting with the new Honorable Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism,Lt. Col. Muhammad Faruk Khan MP.

Aref discussed challenges faced by ATAB, such as escalating air ticket prices and seat shortages due to airlines reducing flights over remittance issues. Minister Khan committed to addressing these concerns and initiating talks with the Bangladesh Bank governor for a sustainable solution. He expressed eagerness for ATAB’s collaboration to combat illegal travel agencies.

Minister Khan assured a prompt resolution by scheduling a meeting with ATAB, indicating a promising future for the travel agency sector. We are optimistic that cooperation with the government will effectively tackle challenges for ATAB members.
