Shari`ah based Standard Bank PLC. Signed Agreement with Hellopaisa

With a view to expand the range of remittance service, Standard Bank PLC. has signed an agreement with the South Africa based renowned remittance company Hellopaisa. Under this agreement, expatriate Bangladeshis will be able to send money directly to their beneficiaries’ accounts with Standard Bank and any Bank’s account’s in Bangladesh through Hellopaisa. Habibur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of the bank and Moosa Manjra, CEO of Hellopaisa, officially inaugurated the service by cutting ribbon in a ceremony held at SBL Head Office, Dhaka on 18 February 2024. Among others, Mohon Miah, Deputy Managing Director & Head of IRM; Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & COO; Mosharraf Hossain, SEVP & Chief Remittance Officer; Ali Reza, FCMA, CIPA, EVP & CFO;  Zakaria Mahmud, AVP of Remittance Department of SBL and Fazlul Fayez Ullah, Country Head of Hellopaisa, Bangladesh along with Senior executives from both of the organizations were also present at the event.
