Salam Air appoints new country manager for Bangladesh Muhammad Ariful Islam Rajan vows to put sincere effort into the business-boosting of the airlines
Salam Air, the first low-cost carrier based in Oman, has recently welcomed Muhammad Ariful Islam Rajan as its new Country Manager for Bangladesh, effective from February 1st, 2024. With over seventeen years of extensive experience in various facets of the aviation sector, Rajan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Beginning his career in 2006 with GMG Airlines, Rajan has traversed through multiple esteemed airlines, including Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, RAK Airways, Regent Airways, Novo Air, and Fly Hub DMCC (an online travel agency in UAE ). His journey in the aviation industry has been marked by significant contributions in Sales and Marketing, Reservation, Revenue/Yield Management, MIS, Pricing, and Flight Scheduling.
Rajan’s transition to Salam Air represents a strategic move for the airline, as he holds a deep understanding of the Bangladesh market. Familiar with the nuances of the industry and having cultivated relationships with trade partners over the years, Rajan is well-equipped to steer Salam Air towards greater success in the region.
Expressing his vision for Salam Air’s operations in Bangladesh, Rajan emphasized his commitment to enhancing the airline’s presence and performance in the market. “I aim to increase the presence of Salam Air in Bangladesh, ensuring consistent flight operations with profitability, and expanding frequencies from the Bangladesh market,” he stated.
