Biman observed Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary and National Children’s Day
Biman Bangladesh Airlines celebrated the 104th birth anniversary and National Children’s Day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali father of a thousand years, through various programs.
On the occasion of the day, a rich tribute was paid to the Father of the Nation by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Biman’s head office in Balaka and Dhanmondi 32 in Dhaka.
A special prayer is offered to seek the forgiveness of Bangabandhu’s soul. On the occasion of March 17, a painting competition was organized in Balaka with the participation of pre-primary to fifth-class students, and an essay competition was organized with the participation of sixth to twelfth-class students.
On the occasion of the day, announcements of Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary and National Children’s Day were made on all domestic and international flights of Biman and broadcasted on the in-flight entertainment (IFE).
A discussion meeting on the glorious career of Bangabandhu was held at Biman’s head office in Balaka and documentaries were shown.
Chairman of the Board of Directors and former senior secretary of Biman Mustafa Kamal Uddin was the chief guest at the meeting while Shafiul Azim, Managing Director and CEO of Biman presided over the meeting.
Biman directors, officials, and representatives of various organizations were present at the meeting.
At the end of the discussion meeting, prizes were distributed among the winners and participants of the drawing and writing competition.
