Bangladesh Housekeepers Premier Cricket League Set to Kick Off

To encourage job seekers in various hotel industries, the Bangladesh Housekeepers Premier Cricket League is set to commence on 2nd and 3rd February 2025.

The tournament will see participation from 14 star hotels and corporate companies, making it a significant event in the industry, Organized by the Bangladesh Housekeepers’ Association (BHA).

At the trophy unveiling ceremony held at Hotel Sheraton Dhaka, the organizers shared details about the league. The event’s chief guest, Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Chairman of the Advisory Council of BHA and CEO of Unique Hotel & Resorts, highlighted the importance of sports in maintaining physical and mental well-being. He noted that with the gradual decline of sports activities, the younger generation is increasingly turning towards unhealthy habits. He emphasized the necessity of engaging them in sports to foster a healthier lifestyle.

Sakhawat further stated that this initiative aims to promote mental peace, physical fitness, and camaraderie among participants. According to him, sports, culture, and tourism are three crucial elements that help individuals achieve their life goals.

Additionally, he pointed out that the league is particularly beneficial for those who could not pursue professional sports careers and have transitioned into other professions.

The event was hosted by BHA President Md. Parvej Miah. Other notable attendees included Echantar Raju, Director of Sales at Hotel Sheraton and Westin, Senior Vice President of BHA Alamgir Hossen, and several other association members.

Participating Teams are Hotel Westin, Hotel Sheraton Dhaka, Hotel Amari Dhaka, Hotel Renaissance, Hotel Six Seasons, Lakeshore Hospitality Group, Hotel Canary Park, Blueberry, United Hospital, Bangladesh Specialist Hospital, Sublime Facilities Management Ltd., New Age, Bhumijo Ltd.

The league is expected to bring excitement, competition, and a sense of community, strengthening professional relationships within the hospitality industry.
