Newly elected ATAB body took oath ATAB President vows to boost the further expansion of the tourism sector
The newly elected member of the Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) took path on Sunday (March 10). ATAB election was held on March 05 in which Gonotantrick Front led by Abdus Salam Aref. Based on the election, the Gonotantic Front made the executive committee of the said organization.
Abdus Salam Aref, one of the prominent protagonists in boosting the country’s tourism sector took over the charge of President of ATAB.
The inspiring women namely Afsia Jannat Saleh became the first female secretary general of ATAB.
Abdul Haque became the Executive Vice-President, followed by Mustafizur Rahman Hiru, Abu Jafar, and Ziaur Rahman Khan Rejwan for Vice-Presidents of the organization. Lion Md Safiullah became the treasure of the organization.
At the same time, the ATAB committee was formed in Sylhet and Chattogram region.
Meanwhile, the newly elected President Abdus Salam Aref urged all the members to put their sincerity into the further development of the travel industry and the tourism sector.
In a telephonic discussion, Abdus Salam Aref told The Current View that the new committee is determined to boost the travel industry accordingly.
The ATAB president has underscored the need to introduce an e-visa system accordingly to attract foreign tourists and boost the tourism sector.
“If we introduce the e-visa system, it will increase our tourism sector income on a large scale”, Abdus Salam added.
Bangladesh has a lot of potential to gain a higher level of income from the tourism sector, Abdus Salam said adding that accountability and transparency are a must to implement the tourism development projects.
