Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, the 10th Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force and former Managing Director &amp; CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.<br>\u200bHe passed away om 13 August 2026, at approximately 11:35 AM (1135 hours) at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, due to age-related complications. He was 74 years old.<br>\u200bAir Commodore Mohammad Rafiqul Islam served as the Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines for around 3 years, from June 1997 to September 2000.<br>\u200bThe Chairman, Managing Director &amp; CEO, Board of Directors, and all employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines extend their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the eternal peace and salvation of the departed soul.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Biman Bangladesh Airlines expresses its profound sorrow at the passing of Air Vice Marshal (Retd.)
