Under the supervision of Bangladesh Tennis Federation, the Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution Ceremony of \u201cShahjalalIslami Bank Victory Day Tennis Tournament -2024\u201dwas held on 03 January 2025 at National Tennis Complex in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Secretary of Ministry of Youth & Sports Md. Rezaul Maksud Jahedi was present as a Chief Guest and The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mohammed Younus was present as Special Guest and they distributed prizes among the winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among others, the President of Bangladesh Tennis Federation Abdul Hai Sarker, Vice President Md Selim, the General Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed (Curren), Tournament Director Shafiqul Islam Sarkar (Sohel), the Deputy Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank M M Saiful Islam and the In-charge of Public Relations Department K MHarunur Rashid and other officials of Bangladesh Tennis Federation were also present in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this tournament, Jarif Abrar from Army Officers Club won the Men’s Singles category, Md Rustum Ali & Milon Hossain from American Club won Men\u2019s doubles category, Halima Jahan from BKSP won Women’s Single category, Susmita Sen & Sumaiya Akter from Jhalkathi Tennis Club won Women\u2019s Doubles category in the final competition. Apart from this, Kabbo Gayen from BKSP, Halima Jahan from BKSP & Jannat Hawlader from Madaripur Tennis Club won separately the others age based category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the speech of Chief Guest, the Secretary of Ministry of Youth & Sports Md Rezaul Maksud Jahedi Said that it is possible to energize the youth through sports. Young generation will change the country and bring success. I hope that tennis game will gain popularity in this country in future and will bring fame to the country by playing successfully at international stage. He also thanked to Shahjalal Islami Bank for providing sponsorship in this Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
