The national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines celebrated its 53rd founding anniversary today (4 January).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials of the national flag carrier paid tributes to the brave martyrs by placing wreaths at the Martyrs’ Memorial of the Great Liberation War at its head office on the occasion, reads a press statement issued on the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Biman Abdul Mueed Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Dr Md Shafiqur Rahman, directors, leaders of various unions and associations centered on Biman, and officers and employees of Bangladesh Biman from were present at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The founding anniversary program was officially started at Balaka by hoisting the national flag and playing the national anthem. Then, prayers were offered for the further prosperity and progress of Bangladesh Biman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, lights were lit at Balaka and a cake was cut in the Balaka lobby to celebrate the founding anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
