Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has provided scholarships to 250 poor and meritorious students who have passed HSC and equivalent examinations from different parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are currently studying in the first year of their degree in various public universities, government medical colleges and engineering universities in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are 125 male and 125 female students among the scholarship recipients. A total of 3,17,50,000.00 (three crore seventeen lac fifty thousand) taka will be given to the scholarship recipients to complete their courses in four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scholarship cheques were officially distributed at a ceremony organized at the bank’s corporate head office on 30 April 2025. There are 50 (fifty) scholarship recipients received the scholarship chequeat the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scholarship money of the remaining 200 scholarship recipients will be paid into their respective bank accounts within a stipulated time. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Mr. A. K. Azad handed over the scholarship cheques among the students as Chief Guest in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Director of the Bank & Chairman of the Bank Foundation Dr. Anwar Hossain Khan was present as Special Guest in the program. The Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed presided over in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among others the Vice-Chairmen of the Board Mohiuddin Ahmed, the Directors of the Bank Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Mr. Md. Abdul Barek, Abdul Halim, Akkas Uddin Mollah, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman and Independent Director Mr. Md. Reazul Karim was present in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Deputy Managing Directors Imtiaz U. Ahmed, M. M. Saiful Islam & Mustafa Husain, the SEVP & Company Secretary Md. Abul Bashar and the CFO of the Bank Md. JafarSadeq, FCA were also present in the scholarship program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the speech of Chief Guest A. K. Azad said that since 2006, Shahjalal Islami Bank has been providing scholarships to poor and talented students from different parts of the country. The Chairman of the Bank also urged people from all walks of life to come forward to ensure fair and quality education for everyone in the society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chairman of Foundation Committee of the Bank Dr. Anwer Hossain Khan, expressed his hope that, all these achievements of the insolvent families would play a significant role in the socio-economic development of the country along with improving the students by getting higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Managing Director of the Bank Mosleh Uddin Ahmed said that this scholarship provided by Shahjalal Islami Bank is not only financial support to the talented students but also motivation, courage and encouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The recognition given by the bank to the meritorious students is in recognition of the hard work that the students from the disadvantaged groups of the society have achieved in the past years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
