Biman Bangladesh Airlines announced temporary suspension of its direct flights on the Dhaka-Narita-Dhaka route, effective from July 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The national flag carrier has taken the decision due to operational constraints stemming from ongoing Hajj operations, aircraft shortages, and prevailing commercial considerations, said an airlines press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Passengers who have already purchased tickets for flights on or after July 1 will be eligible for a full refund or a ticket reissuance without any deduction, the airline assured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biman has requested affected travelers to contact their respective sales offices, ticket counters, or authorized agents to process refunds or rebooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience and thanked passengers for their understanding during the temporary disruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On September 1, 2023 Biman resumed its Dhaka-Narita flight with an aim to make the Bangladesh-Japan direct air connectivity a profitable route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biman had suspended its Dhaka-Tokyo route in 2006 as that time it was not commercially viable, and there was a lack of sufficient aircraft, said aviation stakeholders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
