To highlight the significance of CMSME sector in the national economy and to encourage MSME entrepreneurs, Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC observed the International MSME Day on 29th<\/sup> June 2025 at its\u2019 Corporate Head Office along with all of its Branches, Sub-Branches and Agent Banking Outlets, in alignment with the guidelines of Bangladesh Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Managing Director of the Bank M. M. Saiful Islam presided over in the event while the Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, graced the opportunity as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he reaffirmed the Bank\u2019s strong commitment to the development of the MSME sector and assured continued support for the entrepreneurs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year the event was held under the theme of \u201cSMEs: The Driving Force for Development.\u201d As part of the celebration, two distinguished entrepreneurs were honored with crests in recognition of their contributions to innovation, leadership and socio-economic impact in the CMSME sector. The awardees were Afsana Asif Shama, Founder & CEO of Axis Bangladesh (Women Entrepreneur), and Masrur Hossain Suhrid, Managing Director, iPage Bangladesh Ltd. (Start-up Entrepreneur).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony held among other notable guests were celebrated lyricist and creative entrepreneur Asif Iqbal, Md. Nazmul Islam, CEO of Fabric Lagbe Ltd., and 25 newly trained SME entrepreneurs under the SICIP program of Bangladesh Bank and from Shahjalal Islami Bank were Additional Managing Director Imtiaz U. Ahmed; Deputy Managing Director Mostafa Hossain and Heads of various departments of the Corporate Head Office, including officials from the SME and Agricultural Investment Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
