Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIBPLC) published its \u201cSustainability Report-2024\u201d and it was formally inaugurated on the 27th September 2025 during the Risk Management Conference in Corporate Head Office of the Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the slogan, \u2018Moving Towards Sustainability & Decarborization for Present & Future\u2019, the Report outlines SJIBPLC’s initiatives to generate value for its stakeholders through social and environmental responsibility and a low-carbon economy. This is the first time the Bank calculated GHG emission in accordance with the guidelines of Bangladesh Bank, Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among others, the Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the Bank Mohammed Younus, the Independent Director Md. Reazul Karim, FCMA, the Director of Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank A. N. M. Moinul Kabir, the Managing Director of SJIBPLC Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, the Additional Managing Director of the Bank Imtiaz U. Ahmed, the Deputy Managing Director M. M. Saiful Islam, the SEVP & Company Secretary Md. Abul Bashar, the SEVP & CFO Md.
