The Dhaka Regional Committee (DRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) – an autonomous and premier accounting body under the Ministry of Commerce, People’s Republic of Bangladesh – is organizing a signature running event, “Accounting Day Run 2025” on November 7, 2025, at Hatirjheel, Dhaka, in celebration of International Accounting Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A press conference was organized on 29 October 2025 at the CA Bhaban, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, to mark the occasion of the \u201cAccounting Day Run 2025\u201d. They also unveiled the event T-shirt and medals, which were met with great enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ICAB President, N K A Mobin FCA, Chairman of Dhaka Regional Committee (DRC) Mahmudur Rahman FCA, Race Director Asifur Rahman FCA, Event Convenor Sk. Md. Tarikul Islam FCA, DRC Secretary, Md. Akizur Rahman FCA, DRC Leader, Md. Maksoudur Rahman FCA, Md. Kamruzzaman FCA and others were present to meet the press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the organizers, Dhaka Regional Committee (DRC) is proud to launch the first-ever \u201cAccounting Day Run\u201d, with the inspiring theme \u201cFitness Meets Accounting\u201d, aimed at promoting awareness around health, wellness, and work-life balance. They said there\u2019s no doubt that accountants – whether working in corporate roles or in public practice – play a crucial role in advancing our economy and society. Yet, they often endure intense workloads, stress, and anxiety, frequently at the cost of their personal well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This landmark event will feature over 1,800 participants in (7.5 KM, and 1 KM). including leading Chartered Accountants, their families, CA students, corporate professionals, and running enthusiasts\u2014creating a unique blend of professional excellence and community spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whereas the 1 KM category is specially designed for Kids and moms. Over 200 kids, along with their mom, are participating in this category. The marathon will start from in front of the Hatirjheel Amphitheatre at 5:30 AM, traverse the track across the entire Hatirjheel area, and finish again in front of the Hatirjheel Amphitheatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The run will also feature special appearances by renowned celebrity runners, including IRONMAN Mohammad Shamsuzzaman Arafat, Popular educator Ayman Sadiq, Endurance trainer Sajjad Hossain Snigdho, and Ultrarunner M. Mahfuzul Haq – adding further energy and inspiration to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Kit Expo will be hosted on November 5, 2025, at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, where race kits and goodie bags will be distributed. This will be inaugurated by the council members of ICAB at 1:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
