The 43rd Meeting of the Task Committee of Islamic Banks Consultative Forum (IBCF) was held on November 20, 2025, in the Board Room of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. The meeting was presided over by Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC and Chairman of the Task Committee of IBCF while Nurul Islam Khalifa, Honorary Secretary of IBCF was present in the meeting as the Special Guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Different issues were discussed in the meeting such as the discrimination in realization of excise duty between Islamic and Conventional Banks by National Board of Revenue (NBR), publicity of Islamic Banking and finance in the electronic media through a unified initiative and publication of a half yearly newsletter etc. It was also decided that the issue of excise duty will be taken up with the regulatory authority of Bangladesh Bank and National Board Revenue. The members of the Task Committee, Md. Omar Faruk Khan, Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan, Managing Director (Acting) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, Muhommad Badiuzzaman Dider, Administrator of First Security Islami Bank PLC, Mohammad Abul Hashem, Administrator of Union Bank PLC, Md. Kawsar Pathan, Associate Administrator of Global Islami Bank PLC were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among others, representatives from different member banks, Abdul Aziz, Additional Managing Director, EXIM Bank PLC, Md. Nazmus Saadat, Deputy Managing Director, Social Islami Bank PLC, M. Nazem A. Choudhury, Deputy Managing Director, Prime Bank PLC, Md. Tipu Sultan, Senior Executive Vice President, Dhaka Bank PLC, Dr. Ruhul Amin, General Manager, Pubali Bank PLC, A B M Burhan Uddin, First Vice President, Bank Asia PLC as well as Jahangir Alam, Assistant Secretary of IBCF were also present in the meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
