Gulzar Ahmed, director of Standard Bank, and head of the country’s renowned jewellery company Apan Jewellers, has been elected as the vice chairman of the bank at the 421st meeting of the board of directors of Standard Bank, held recently, according to a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gulzar Ahmed was born in a respectable Muslim family of Golapganj Upazila, Sylhet. After completing his education, he took over his family business Apan Jewellers. The Apan family has established nine jewellery showrooms in different parts of Dhaka with their combined efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
