The three-day SIMFOX CBT Simulator Training, jointly organised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh ( CAAB ) and the United States Embassy in Dhaka, has successfully concluded, marking a step forward in strengthening the country\u2019s aviation security framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The training programme, which began on April 7 at the CAAB headquarters, ended on Thursday (April 9) with a closing ceremony attended by senior officials from both sides. The initiative aimed to enhance Bangladesh\u2019s aviation security system in line with modern, internationally recognised standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials from different levels of the Aviation Security Department of CAAB took part in the training. During the programme, participants received both theoretical and practical instruction on advanced X-ray screening technology. The use of simulation-based learning allowed trainees to develop hands-on skills in identifying potential threats and improving screening efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to organisers, the training is expected to significantly improve the effectiveness of airport security operations in Bangladesh by equipping personnel with up-to-date knowledge and technical expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Air Commodore Md. Asif Iqbal, Member (Security) of CAAB, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He highlighted the importance of incorporating modern technology into aviation security systems and said such initiatives would play a crucial role in aligning Bangladesh with global standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was also attended by David Moo, Deputy Political and Economic Attach\u00e9 at the US Embassy in Dhaka, as the special guest. He underscored the importance of continued collaboration between Bangladesh and the United States in enhancing aviation safety and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speakers at the event emphasised the need to sustain and expand such joint training programmes in the future, noting that international cooperation remains vital for capacity building in critical sectors like aviation security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Representatives from the US Embassy, senior CAAB officials, trainers, and participants were present at the ceremony. At the end of the programme, certificates were distributed among the trainees, and modern training equipment was handed over to CAAB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
