The National Cultural Center is set to organize a day-long cultural programme titled \u201cAkij Venture \u2013 Bangla New Year Festival 1433\u201d in the capital on Tuesday, marking the celebration of the Bengali New Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a press release, the initiative aims to highlight the rich history, heritage, and traditions of Bangladesh, with a special focus on introducing the essence of rural Bengali culture to the younger generation and a wider global audience. The event is being organized in partnership with Akij Venture, one of the country\u2019s leading business conglomerates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will unfold in three phases across different venues in Dhaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rally to Begin the Celebrations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first phase will commence at 10:00 am with a colorful rally titled \u201cBangla Nabajatra 1433.\u201d The procession will start from Muktangan in Purana Paltan and proceed to Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Organizers expect participation from thousands of people from diverse backgrounds, showcasing symbolic representations of Bangladesh\u2019s cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Traditional Food Festival at Noon<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second phase will begin at 12:00 pm at Bijoynagar Road, where a traditional \u201cMejban\u201d feast will be arranged. Participants and visitors will be served classic Bengali dishes, including rice, beef, vegetables, and sweets, at an affordable price. The venue will also feature a variety of traditional local food items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cultural Festival to Conclude the Day<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The final phase, titled \u201cBangla Cultural Festival 1433,\u201d will take place from 3:00 pm until evening at the same venue. The segment will include musical performances, folk songs, poetry recitations, theatrical shows, and discussions centered on Bangladesh\u2019s history, heritage, and identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the initiative, the National Cultural Center will also publish a Bangla calendar for the year 1433, aiming to revive a tradition that is gradually fading from everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
