A visiting United States delegation has reaffirmed Washington\u2019s commitment to cultural preservation in Bangladesh during a tour of Lalbagh Fort, one of the capital\u2019s major Mughal-era heritage sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
US Special Envoy Charles Harder and Deputy Chief of Mission Megan Bouldin visited the historic complex on Sunday at the invitation of the Department of Archaeology Bangladesh, according to a statement from the US Embassy in Dhaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the visit, the delegation toured key sections of the fort, including the Mughal-era Hammam Khana, which has been restored with support from the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation. The restoration is part of ongoing efforts to conserve historically significant sites and promote cultural sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The US representatives reiterated their support for safeguarding Bangladesh\u2019s cultural heritage, emphasising that preservation initiatives contribute to sustainable tourism and enhance cultural exchange between nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
