Players’ Association of Islamic University Kushtia holds maiden reunion

Mirza Walid Shipon urged the former students for protecting the interest of all students at the national and international levels so that they can enriched the name and fame of Islamic University and the country as well.

The Players’ Association of Islamic University Kushtia organized a reunion and reception program at the Bangladesh Agriculture University auditorium in the capital recently.
The association holds the reception program for the tremendous success of the two former students of Islamic University specifically Mohammad Mohsin who recently got the CIP Status from the Bangladesh government and Sahjahan Alam Saju who recently obtained an honorarium Ph.D. from a recognized university in France.
Dr Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal Robi, Convener of the Players’ Association presided over the occasion and Dr. Md Asadur Rahman, Member Secretary of the Players Association presented the introductory speech.
Islamic University Physical Education Department Founding Director Dr. Sohel presented as the chief guest while the legendary student leaders in the history of Islamic Univerity Mirza Walid Shipon, Mohammed Ali, SM Mizanur Rahman, Jakaria Haider, Shah Monzurul Haque, Monowar Azad were present as the special guests. A good number of former students of the Islamic University were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the function, Mirza Walid Shipon urged the former students of the Islamic University for protecting the interest of all students at the national and international levels. “We are the brothers. We may carry the ideological debate, but it is not rational to take it personally. We are the students of Islamic University, so, we will have to protect the interest of all students”, added Mirza.
Mirza appreciated the Players Association for holding such a noble program to show profound love and respect to the CIP holder Mohammad Mohsin and the honorarium Ph.D. holder Sahjahan Alam Saju who is the founding President of the Islamic University Chattra League.
Meanwhile, another special guest SM Mizanur Rahman appreciated the Players Association for organizing such a unique platform for all the students of the Islamic University.
In the passionate speech, Rahman memorized a good number of sweet memories associated with university life. “We may have a political debate, but we all are the students of the Islamic University. So, it is our ethical responsibility to work jointly in protecting the benefits of all students apart from the political interest”, added Mizanur Rahman.
Addressing the special guest, Mohammad Ali, a reputed senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court declared his all-out support for the students of the Islamic University to face any hardship.
Meanwhile, Shah Monzurul Haque, an impact-oriented Supreme Court leader also announced proving legal assistance for the students of the Islamic University.
Speaking on the occasion, Jesmine Sultana (Moni), the first gold-winning athlete of the Islamic University narrated her passionate and memorable journey of the student life.
Lauding the role of the former players of Islamic University, Moni mentioned that the role of players was very praiseworthy for becoming a complete and modern university.
In the concluding speech, Dr. Sohel expressed his gratitude to the Players Association for organizing such a time-befitting program which would help create a unique platform for the students of the Islamic University.
