Nurun Nahar Chowdhury appointed new civil aviation secretary

The government has appointed Nurun Nahar Chowdhury, a member (secretary) of the Planning Commission, as the new secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification to this effect on Wednesday.

Fahmida Akhter, the incumbent secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, will go on post-retirement leave (PRL) on Thursday.

Dr Nurun Nahar Chowdhury was promoted to secretary and appointed to the Ministry of Shipping on November 2 last year.

She was transferred to the Planning Commission on April 13 this year.
