Biman is bringing Bangladeshis back to their motherland who are stuck in the conflict of Sudan.

National flag carrier Bangladesh Airlines has come forward to bring back Bangladeshis stranded in conflict-ridden Sudan. Today, Monday, May 8, at 01:00 PM local time, Biman flight BG 336 took off from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with 136 Sudanese expatriates and arrived in Dhaka at 10:25 AM. All of them took temporary refuge in Jeddah from conflict-ridden Sudan with the assistance of the Bangladesh Embassy and Saudi Arabia. Others will also be brought back to the country step by step in coordination with all concerned including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After arriving in Dhaka, Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Imran Ahmad, Acting Managing Director and CEO of Biman Md. Chiddikur Rahman, delegations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Civil Aviation, and International Organization for Migration (IOM) arrived at the airport and welcomed the expatriates back to Sudan. The ministry assured them of various types of cooperation.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is always by the side of remittance fighters in difficult times. Earlier, Biman brought back Bangladeshis to their motherland by operating special flights to China, Lebanon, and other countries in various emergency situations.
