Standard Islami Bank holds 27th Annual General Meeting
The 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Standard Islami Bank PLC was held on Thursday at Police Convention Hall, Eskaton Garden Road, Ramna, Dhaka.
Mohammed Abdul Aziz, honorable Chairman of the Bank presided over the meeting. Vice Chairman Gulzar Ahmed, Directors Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, Ferozur Rahman, Mohammad Manjur Alam, S A MD Hossain, Al-haj Mohammed Shamsul Alam, Md. Zahedul Hoque, Ferdous Ali Khan, A K M Abdul Alim, Ashit Kumar Saha, Jhahedul Alam, Independent Directors Golam Hafiz Ahmed & Khondoker Rumy Ehsanul Huq, Member of the Shari`ah Supervisory Committee Prof. Dr. Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed, Managing Director Riad Mahmud Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Chief Financial Officer Mohammad Salah Uddin, FCS, Observers Md. Rakibul Islam & Md. Baharul Islam Shawon from DSE and Alamgir Kabir from CSE and a significant number of shareholders and external auditor of the Bank physically & virtually participated in the meeting. Company Secretary of the Bank Md. Mizanur Rahman, FCS conducted the meeting.
Annual Report 2025 and Directors` Report along with an overview of the bank’s various activities during the year and its future plans were presented in the meeting. Shareholders expressed various opinions and suggestions regarding the Bank’s financial condition and operational activities. The Honorable Chairman of the Bank thanked all for their presence and cooperation and assured them that their valuable suggestions would be given due consideration and importance.
In conclusion, the Managing Director of the bank, Riad Mahmud Chowdhury delivered the closing remarks and conveyed his vote of thanks. It is worth mentioning here that, all agenda including the annual financial statements & audit report of the last financial year were unanimously approved in the meeting.
