Sheraton Dhaka hosts Turkish food festival
Sheraton Dhaka is set to host a Turkish Food Festival titled “Nights in Istanbul” from September 3 to 12 at The Garden Kitchen on the hotel’s 14th floor in Banani.
The festival will showcase the rich culinary heritage and authentic flavours of Türkiye, with Turkish chefs Rimoun Obaid and Sait Dursun joining Sheraton Dhaka chefs Mahbubur Rashid Akhand and Dulak Paul to prepare a wide range of traditional dishes.
The menu will feature Turkish specialties including Adana Kebab, Tavuk Kanat, Hünkar Beğendi, Tavuk Döner, Kuzu Pirzola, Tavuk Külbastı, Tas Kebabı, Dana Dalyan Köfte Püreli, Mantarlı Piliç Sote and Ali Paşa Pilavı.
A major attraction will be the Turkish kebab and grill selection, highlighting traditional spices, cooking techniques and flavours associated with Istanbul’s culinary culture.
The dinner buffet will also offer international dishes such as Irish Lamb Stew, Greek Lamb Shank, Mutton Nihari and Mutton Rogan Josh.
Dessert options will include Soğuk Baklava, Pistachio & Coconut Baklava, Turkish Rawani, Tulumba, Moshabak, Kunafa, Matcha Mousse Cake and live Teppanyaki Ice Cream.
