Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre to host royal buffet festival

Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre is set to host a royal-themed buffet festival, “Dawat-E-Sultan,” at its Attitude Restaurant from September 20 to 26.

The week-long food festival will be available daily from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, offering a selection of dishes inspired by culinary traditions from the Indian subcontinent, Persia, Türkiye and the Middle East.

The buffet will feature a range of biryanis, slow-cooked specialities, charcoal-grilled kebabs and traditional desserts. The hotel said the event has been designed around the concept of a Shahi Dastarkhwan, with royal-themed décor and a festive atmosphere.

Among the featured dishes are Lamb Ouzi Al-Malaki, whole roasted lamb served with fragrant rice, nuts and fried onions; Nizami Gosht Dum Biryani, a slow-cooked mutton biryani; and Darbari Pot-Roasted Quail.

Other main-course options include Dum Pukht Beef Nihari, Murgh Musallam-e-Darbar, Awadhi Batakh Qorma and flame-grilled prawns.

The live charcoal grill and kebab selection will include Adana Kebab-e-Sultan, Joojeh Kebab-e-Shahaneh, Koobideh Kebab-e-Darbar and Turkish-style chicken and beef dürüm rolls. Guests will also be served welcome drinks such as Sharbat-e-Mohabbat and Jallab Al-Qasr.

The dessert section, titled Sheerin Khazana-e-Sultan, will offer Baklava-e-Saray, Kunafa Al-Malaki, Umm Ali Al-Malaki and Shahi Tukra-e-Khaas. Three varieties of Kheer-e-Sultan, Nawabi Shemai and eight types of traditional sweets will also be available.

The buffet is priced at BDT 8,100 net per person. A Buy 1 Get 3 Free offer is available on selected bank cards, allowing four guests to dine for BDT 8,100 net, subject to the respective card offer’s terms and conditions.

The festival is aimed at families, friends and colleagues looking to experience a variety of traditional and royal-inspired dishes in a themed dining setting.
