Air China Hosts Prestigious Agent Appreciation Evening in Dhaka, Honoring Strategic Partnerships
Air China, the national flag carrier of the People’s Republic of China, formally recognized and celebrated the outstanding contributions of its strategic travel agency partners in Bangladesh at an elegant appreciation ceremony held in the capital on December 17 evening. The event, which marked the resounding success of the inaugural year of direct Dhaka-Beijing services, was graciously hosted by HBM Shoave Rahman, Managing Director of Irving Aviation, who welcomed the distinguished guests and partners to the evening’s celebrations.
An Ming, Country Manager of Air China for Bangladesh, commended the collaborative efforts that have solidified the airline’s presence. “The direct Beijing-Dhaka service has established a vital aerial corridor between our two capitals,” stated Ming. “The steadfast confidence and exceptional performance of our agency partners have been instrumental in cultivating and strengthening the Air China brand within this dynamic market.”

The evening’s honors were bestowed upon three distinguished agencies for their exemplary revenue performance during the 2024-2025 period.
Hajee Air Travels Limited was acclaimed as the premier recipient for highest revenue contribution while Takeoff Travels was celebrated as the first runner-up and Tour Planners Limited was acknowledged as the second runner-up.
Jerry Han, Executive Director of the Irving Aviation, reflected on the partnership’s trajectory. “Navigating the complexities of a new market presented initial challenges, yet our collective achievements within this single year have established a formidable foundation for a future of accelerated growth and mutual success,” Han remarked.

Tamim Hossain, Director at Irving Aviation, underscored the superior travel ecosystem available through Air China. He emphasized its esteemed Star Alliance membership, which seamlessly bridges passengers to over 1,200 destinations across 195 nations via a network of 25 member airlines. Furthermore, he highlighted Air China’s significant role in the Belt and Road Initiative, operating 71 dedicated routes across the Asia-Pacific region, linking 30 cities in 21 countries.
Air China provides passengers from Dhaka with a sophisticated travel experience, featuring comprehensive through check-in facilities, expedited fast-track processing, and complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi on select state-of-the-art aircraft. The airline further enhances connectivity with premium amenities, including complimentary transit accommodation and exclusive lounge access at its major global hubs.
As China’s largest airline, Air China commands a modern fleet of 967 aircraft, including 155 wide-body jets. It sustains an extensive operational network of 129 international and regional routes, facilitating an average of 254 flights daily. From Dhaka, the carrier offers four weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday), with departures at 22:10, arriving in Beijing at 05:10 the following day—providing optimal connections to key destinations in South Korea, Japan, North America, and Europe.
