Safe Food for Prevention and Production in Our Daily Life

Every life has value and purpose, which require proper supervision to achieve success and goals. Without proper guidance, it is difficult to succeed and move forward. A strategic plan can help keep our lives safe, secure, and protected.

Plastic products are useful in our daily lives, making shopping and carrying goods easier. However, they should be food-grade and produced according to national laws and quality standards.

FSM organized an excellent seminar with our honorable South City Mayor, Abdul Malek, and highlighted various food safety issues and guidelines. The honorable Mayor agreed to start a WhatsApp group for quick action and advised Imams to discuss food safety in mosques to raise awareness among the public. The FSM President also presented various food safety issues from the field to the consumer level. The General Secretary welcomed and appreciated all reporters, stakeholders, government officials, and private-sector representatives for their cooperation and for making the program successful.

As an FSM Advisor, I encouraged the audience and organizations to start microgreens production by using balcony gardens and rooftop gardens according to their capacity. These can also be distributed as gifts to relatives, friends, and neighbors to encourage greater production within society and the community. Various types of vegetables can also be grown indoors. Organic fertilizer can easily be prepared in buckets to produce organic vegetables and fruits in a simple and sustainable way.

Different leaves, such as guava (good for reducing blood sugar levels), jamun, pudina (good for the brain), dhania (good for the kidneys), lemon, ginger (good for digestion and relieving gas), garlic (good for blood circulation), jamun powder (good for urinary function), moringa (known for its many health benefits), arjun (good for the heart), papaya, and others, can be steeped in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes to make healthy herbal tea. These drinks provide antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients and may serve as a supportive alternative for maintaining good health. Morning exercise and exposure to sunlight are also excellent natural medicines. Therefore, we should focus on prevention and production by growing our own vegetables and fruits whenever possible to ensure healthy food and a healthy environment.

Microgreens help protect and improve our health because they are rich in antioxidants and support the immune system. They are easy to grow in trays filled with soil using different kinds of seeds, including spice seeds and other healthy varieties. Tulsi leaves, green tea, cardamom, cloves, ginger, and drinking water on an empty stomach, along with lemon mixed with lukewarm water every morning, may help boost immunity and support overall health. As a result, we should include seasonal fruits, vegetables, salads, dates, milk, healthy seeds, eggs, sea fish, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, drumsticks (sajna), broccoli, and regular exercise in our daily routine to remain physically fit and healthy.

Food and environmental safety involve many important factors. Plastic is one of the major concerns for human health. Low-quality plastic products make life more difficult and also damage the environment. They affect soil quality and create long-term environmental problems for us and future generations. Today, plastic pollution also affects the air by creating microplastics, which pose serious risks to human health. According to online journals, microplastics may contribute to lung and throat cancer. They may also affect other human organs in different ways, especially when combined with unhealthy food habits and lifestyles. Human organs are priceless, and medical treatment is expensive. Therefore, we need strategic policies to protect our lives, food, and the environment before unwanted diseases develop.

We can also learn from online resources and the food habits and lifestyles of other countries to adopt better practices. We should avoid outside and street food whenever possible and spend less time in dusty and air-polluted areas to maintain good health. Together, we can build a Sonar Bangla.

Finally, we can prepare a 24-hour strategic plan for food, rest, physical exercise, travel, tourism, reading, and writing to achieve a healthy, productive, and successful life.

Thank you very much for your kind attention and cooperation.
