Bangladesh’s 1st Biggest OPPO Photography Contest 2026 Finale Celebrates Record 23K+ Submissions

What happens when more than 23,000 young Bangladeshis pick up their smartphones and turn everyday moments into stories? This World Photography Day, OPPO is celebrating exactly that—a remarkable wave of creativity as the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G Presents OPPO Photography Contest 2026, “Every Photo Tells a Story,” reaches its Grand Finale with a record-breaking 23,000+ submissions from across Bangladesh.

For OPPO, photography has always been at the heart of its innovation. From pioneering selfie technology to advancing AI-powered imaging, portrait photography, night photography, and other imaging capabilities, OPPO has consistently worked to make sophisticated photography more accessible to everyday users. The brand believes that great photography is not simply about technology—it is about empowering people to see, create, and tell stories in their own way.

In Bangladesh, that philosophy came to life through the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G Presents OPPO Photography Contest 2026, organized in partnership with Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, one of the country’s leading institutions for photography and visual arts.

The contest invited photography enthusiasts from across Bangladesh to capture the world around them through their smartphones under five distinctive categories: Portrait; Nature and Wildlife; Street and Architecture; Low Light; and Heritage and Culture.

The response has been extraordinary. More than 23,000 submissions have been received, reflecting the growing passion for photography among Bangladesh’s young generation and the increasingly important role smartphones play as tools of creative expression.

The Grand Winner will receive BDT 100,000 in prize money, an OPPO flagship smartphone, and a photography course from Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. The Elite Winner will receive BDT 50,000, an OPPO smartphone, and a Pathshala photography course, while the Master Winner will receive BDT 30,000, an OPPO smartphone, and a Pathshala photography course. Each Category Winner will receive BDT 20,000, an OPPO smartphone, and a Pathshala photography course.

Commenting on the occasion, Damon Yang, General Manager of OPPO Bangladesh Authorized Exclusive Distributor, said, “At OPPO, we have always believed that photography is one of the most powerful ways for young people to express who they are and how they see the world. World Photography Day is a moment for us to reaffirm our commitment, not just to imaging technology, but to the creative communities we want to build and support across Bangladesh. Seeing more than 23,000 people come forward and share their photographic stories through our competition is deeply inspiring. We want to continue creating platforms, opportunities, and tools that allow this passion and creativity to flourish.”
