Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan Partners with Gari Bazar BD for “Run for Charity: Meaningful Marathon” 2026
Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan by IHG has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gari Bazar BD as a partner for the “Run for Charity: Meaningful Marathon 2026,” a community initiative aimed at promoting health, wellbeing and charitable giving.
The 5-kilometre community run will be held on September 25, with around 200 runners expected to participate. Participants will assemble at 5:00am, while the run will start at 5:30am from Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan.
Each participant will pay a registration fee of Tk 1,500, with the full proceeds to be donated to Odommo Bangladesh Foundation (Mojar School) to support selected projects for vulnerable children. With 200 participants, the initiative is expected to raise Tk 300,000 for charity.
The partnership was formed as part of IHG’s Giving for Good Month and reflects the partners’ shared commitment to encouraging an active lifestyle while contributing to social causes.
A medal ceremony will be held at 6:30am, followed by breakfast at 7:00am at the ballroom on the 25th floor of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan.
The organisers said the event is intended to bring together members of the community through fitness and collective giving, while raising awareness about supporting vulnerable children.
The event will take place at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, located at 6/A North Commercial Avenue, Gulshan 2 Circle, Dhaka.
