Malaysia Healthcare Week 2026 Begins in Bangladesh with Corporate Networking Dinner

Malaysia Healthcare Week 2026 officially commenced in Bangladesh with Discover Malaysia Healthcare Corporate Networking Dinner hosted by MHTC (Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council), with the support of their local partner Irving Aviation Limited, at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel. The event brought together representatives from the Embassy of Malaysia, Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), Malaysian hospitals, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders and travel industry stakeholders.

The evening was graced by Hazwan Hasnol, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangladesh, who delivered a speech highlighting the strong ties between Malaysia and Bangladesh and the importance of continued collaboration in healthcare and medical tourism.

The programme also featured an opening speech by Muhammad Hizami Aizat Che Harun, Head of Developmental Market, MHTC, who highlighted Malaysia’s trusted healthcare services and MHTC’s efforts to strengthen healthcare connectivity between Malaysia and Bangladesh.

Shoave Rahman, Director of Irving Group, ⁠Mr Mohammad Moin Uddin Hayat, General Manager of Bangladesh Parjoton Corporation; Md Anwar Shahid, President of the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI); Mohd Hafiz Omar, Head of Service Health Tourism, KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital; Subashini Subash Chandra, Manager, Global Strategy & Healthcare Expansion, KL Fertility & Gynecology Centre; Chun Jan Bong, Manager, International Marketing Development, Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City Kuala Lumpur;  Rayson Ng, Assistant Manager, International Marketing, IHH Healthcare Malaysia; and Karen Ng, Regional Commercial Director, Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists, among others, were also present in the event.

Five leading Malaysian healthcare providers participated in the programme and presented their specialised services: Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists, KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital, IHH Healthcare Malaysia, KL Fertility & Gynecology Centre, and Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia Healthcare Week 2026 will continue with the Malaysia Healthcare Pavilion at the Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) Dhaka from 17–19 September, where visitors can meet the participating healthcare providers and learn more about treatment options in Malaysia.

The Malaysian healthcare delegation will also travel to Chattogram to engage with local doctors, healthcare professionals, businesses and potential partners, further strengthening healthcare ties between Malaysia and Bangladesh.
