Aviation Minister makes surprise visit to Dhaka airport

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, paid a surprise visit to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka at around 10:30pm today to inspect passenger services.

During the visit, the minister inspected the baggage claim area and spoke with passengers waiting to collect their luggage.

He asked passengers about the time required to receive baggage after disembarking and sought their feedback on the overall baggage delivery process.

Passengers expressed satisfaction with the airport’s baggage delivery services, saying they received their luggage within the scheduled timeframe.

The minister stressed the need to further improve passenger services at the airport and directed officials to give priority to passenger comfort and satisfaction in all airport operations.

He also instructed the relevant authorities to increase the number of baggage trolleys at the airport as quickly as possible.

Relevant airport officials and personnel on duty were present during the minister’s visit.
