Employers’ Meeting Held at Food Cadets
Food Cadets – Lipi’s Euphoria, Institute of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management, hosted an employers’ meeting on its campus, bringing together senior hospitality leaders and aspiring young professionals to foster direct employment and internship pathways.
The event featured approximately 100 trainees who successfully completed their training under the SICIP-T&H ISC project. High-profile attendees included senior officials from the Tourism and Hospitality Industries Skills Council (T&H ISC), alongside prominent figures from star-rated hotels, resorts, and restaurants.
Notable industry guests included Mehedi Hasan Sohel, General Manager of Hotel High Garden; Wasif of Emperian; Sajidur Rahman of BFC; and M.A. Nahian of Fiona, among other leading hoteliers. They were joined by Saleh Mujahid, Chairman of Food Cadets – Lipi’s Euphoria, and Nafiz Islam Lipi, CEO of the institute.
During the interactive session, seasoned hoteliers shared valuable insights into the realities of the hospitality industry. Discussions centered on career prospects, work scope, professional conduct, and workplace discipline. Speakers heavily emphasized the importance of punctuality, responsibility, and continuous skill development for long-term success in the sector.

The meeting transitioned directly into career opportunities. Representatives from participating hospitality establishments collected CVs from the trainees and conducted on-the-spot interviews. Through this rigorous selection process, qualified candidates were chosen for internships across four core occupational areas: Food & Beverage Production (Cooking), Bakery & Pastry Production (Baking), Housekeeping and Food & Beverage Service.
Organizers noted that such initiatives play a critical role in bridging the skills gap, ensuring that locally trained workforce talent seamlessly transitions into the country’s growing hospitality and tourism market.
