‘Chatgaiya Mezzan’ buffet fest at Holiday Inn from 31 July
A three-day dinner buffet festival titled “Chatgaiya Mezzan” will begin on 31 July at the Attitude Restaurant in Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre.
Inspired by the traditional Mezban culture of Chattogram, the festival celebrates the region’s rich culinary heritage, known for its bold flavours, warm hospitality, and festive ambience, read a press release.
Guests will be treated with a vibrant selection of Chattogram’s most iconic dishes, authentically prepared by chef originally from Chattogram, bringing hometown expertise to every plate.
The buffet menu proudly features Traditional Mezbani Beef that simmers for hours in secret spices, kala bhuna, shutki bhuna, and comforting classics like lal shak with shutki, chingri malai curry, charcoal grilled fish, and the sweets that take you straight back to family memories and village feasts.
In celebration of this cultural feast, special offers are available: B1G1 at Tk6,000 and B1G2 at Tk7,500 are available for selected bank cardholders, while B1G3 at Tk9,000 is exclusively available for all BRAC Bank cardholders. All rates are inclusive.
Beyond these highlights, the Attitude Dinner Buffet will present a spectacular array of over 100 items, from a deshi bharta Station offering chingri shutki, aloo, tomato, kochu pata, and mohi kochu to live street food stations with fuchka, mughlai paratha, jhal muri, and egg tikka burgers.
Hearty classics such as mutton haleem and paya will be served with traditional accompaniments like lassa paratha and luchi.
The main course selection includes festive dishes like kacchi biryani, sharisha hilsha, chicken boti kebab, nolar jhol, and maskolai, among others.
To conclude the evening on a sweet note, the sweets and pitha corner will offer a rich variety, from shahi firni, nawabi shemai, and gurer sondesh to bhaja puli and live crispy jelabi, all paired beautifully with malai chayer adda and Chittagong own Bela Biscuit.
The restaurant’s ambiance is designed to tell the story of the port city with rickshaw art, earthen pots, touches of Foy’s Lake and hillscapes, regional hues, wooden décor, and colourful Chittagong Red-Bull all coming together to make guests exclaim upon entry, “This feels just like Chatga!”
