Hotel Sarina Dhaka Appoints Dhaithya Krawage as Executive Chef
Hotel Sarina Dhaka announced the appointment of Dhaithya Krawage (FCHSGA, MIH, MCGL) as its new Executive Chef, bringing with him over 35 years of distinguished experience in the global hospitality industry.
Mr. Krawage, a Sri Lankan national, has held key leadership roles in prestigious properties across Sri Lanka, the Maldives, the UAE, and the Bahamas, including Bentota Beach – The Cinnamon Luxury Collection, Taj Samudra Colombo, Trans Asia Hotel (Cinnamon Lakeside), Forte Grand Abu Dhabi, Hilton International Colombo, Cocoa Beach & Spa – Republic of Maldives, and several other renowned establishments worldwide. His expertise spans fine dining, banquet functions, kitchen design, rebranding projects, large-scale state events, and ISO-certified food hygiene standards, having led teams of up to 130 culinary professionals and trained numerous apprentices throughout his career.
Mr. Krawage has earned multiple accolades, including international culinary competition medals and the LEED Platinum Award for Cinnamon Bentota Beach Hotel, showcasing his commitment to excellence in both gastronomy and sustainable hospitality practices. A recognized Certified Competition Judge and ISO 22000 Lead Auditor, he has also contributed as a visiting lecturer, mentor, and active member of global hospitality associations.
He has served in key leadership roles as Executive Chef, Consultant Chef, and General Manager, successfully leading high-capacity kitchen teams, overseeing international cuisine concepts, managing state banquets, and introducing innovative culinary experiences for guests worldwide.
His exceptional skills in kitchen design, menu engineering, HACCP food safety implementation, and hospitality consultancy have earned him accolades such as multiple Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in prestigious culinary competitions, including a Silver Medal at the “SUVAI Live Cooking Competition” in Singapore (2014).
