Radisson Blu Dhaka Introduces Bangladesh’s First Turkish-Themed Iftar Experience ‘Sultan’s Sofra’
Dhaka’s Ramadan dining scene is set for a distinctive cultural transformation as Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden unveils “Sultan’s Sofra,” a grand Turkish-themed Iftar cum dinner buffet — introduced for the very first time in Bangladesh.
Ramadan, a sacred month of fasting, prayer and spiritual reflection, is traditionally marked by togetherness and shared meals. This year, the hotel aims to elevate that experience by presenting a culinary journey inspired by Turkey’s rich gastronomic heritage. The initiative is proudly partnered with Trust Bank Limited and Turkish Airlines, adding both prestige and international collaboration to the celebration.

Marking a landmark first for Dhaka, the hotel has flown in two acclaimed Turkish chefs directly from Turkey for the entire Ramadan period. Chef Onhan Hasan Gaziantep, a specialist in traditional Turkish desserts with over two decades of professional experience, will showcase authentic Baklava and Kunefe. Joining him is Chef Celik Ahmet Melikgazi, renowned for his mastery of savory classics, who will present signature dishes including Shawarma, Tantuni, Kebab and Kofta. Together, they will curate a menu designed to offer guests a truly immersive and authentic Turkish Iftar experience.
Alongside the Turkish specialties, the buffet will also feature a wide array of traditional and classic Iftar items, blending international flavors with local favorites to cater to diverse palates. The initiative aims to bring a vibrant culinary atmosphere to Dhaka, transforming Ramadan evenings into colorful and memorable gatherings.

To make the celebration even more rewarding, the hotel is offering a Buy 1 Get 3 (B1G3) promotion on selected bank cards at BDT 9,950 net. Additionally, a “Dine & Win” campaign will see one lucky guest win a return air ticket on the Dhaka–Turkey route, sponsored by Turkish Airlines.
Enhancing the cultural ambiance, a dedicated Turkish shop stall has been set up within the hotel, featuring authentic décor, accessories and lifestyle items sourced directly from Turkey, allowing guests to take home a touch of Turkish heritage.

Beyond the signature buffet, the hotel has introduced takeaway Iftar boxes starting from BDT 8,950 net, suitable for corporate gatherings and private occasions. An Iftar Bazaar in the lobby offers individual Iftar items for convenient purchase, while elegant banquet facilities are available for corporate events. A specially designed Ramadan Retreat room package further allows families to observe the holy month in comfort and tranquility.

Through “Sultan’s Sofra,” Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden blends tradition, cross-cultural connection and world-class hospitality, reinforcing its position as a premier culinary destination in the capital and promising guests a spiritually uplifting and culturally rich Ramadan experience.
