Radisson Blu Dhaka to Host Grand Pahela Baishakh Celebration

Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden is set to host a vibrant celebration of Pahela Baishakh on April 14, 2026, offering a day-long cultural experience that highlights the spirit and traditions of the Bengali New Year.

Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bengali calendar, is one of the most significant cultural festivals in Bangladesh, marked by colourful processions, traditional music, folk performances, and authentic cuisine. The occasion brings together people from all walks of life, celebrating heritage, unity, and renewal.

To mark the festival, the hotel has planned an event titled “Rongila Boishakh,” which will take place at its poolside and Utshab Hall. Guests will be able to enjoy a wide variety of traditional foods, including panta-ilish, bhorta, chotpoti, fuchka, pitha, desserts, and other festive treats. The venue will be decorated with elements reflecting Bengali culture and aesthetics.

The event will also feature a range of entertainment and interactive activities aimed at all age groups. These include fortune telling, balloon shooting, bioscope shows, henna art, face painting, a jumping castle, magic show, monkey show, and a dedicated photo booth.

An entry fee of Tk 1,800 (net) has been set for the “Rongila Boishakh” event, which includes food or a snacks platter.

In addition, the hotel will host a special “Baishakhi Bhoj” brunch and dinner buffet at its Water Garden Brasserie. The buffet will include a wide selection of traditional Bengali dishes such as hilsa fish, assorted bhortas, rice, and meat items.

The brunch buffet is priced at Tk 6,800 (net) per person, while the dinner buffet will cost Tk 8,450 (net). Guests can also avail an “Eat 4 Pay 1” offer on selected bank cards, making it an attractive option for families, friends, and corporate groups.

As part of the celebration, the hotel has also introduced a “Dine & Win” campaign. Under this initiative, guests will have the chance to win couple air tickets from Air Astra along with an exclusive gift hamper from Monno Ceramics.

The hotel authorities said the initiative aims to create a joyful and memorable experience for guests, bringing together tradition, culture, and festive spirit in one place.
