Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation organized tree plantation program at Cox’s Bazar Railway Station premises
Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation has been conducting tree plantation programs nationwide every year through various branches of the bank as part of its corporate social responsibility program to protect the country’s environment and climate. In this consequence, a tree plantation program was organized on 01st August 2026 at the railway station premises of Cox’s Bazar.
The Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the tree plantation program as the chief guest and planted saplings of various species of fruit, forest and medicinal trees at the railway station premises. Later, saplings of various species of trees were distributed among school-going students. The Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun, the Deputy Managing Directors Rashed Sarwar, M. M. Saiful Islam and Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA delivered speech at the program.
At the event, the speakers emphasized the importance of conducting tree plantation activities across the country to build a green Bangladesh. Trees not only beautify the environment but also serve as a safe shelter for future generations. Therefore, they called on everyone to plant more trees to build a beautiful and safe future for future generations.
Among others, the Branch Manager of Pahartoli Branch of the Bank Mohammad Eskander Alam, the manager of Cox’s Bazar Branch Md. Zane Alam, the manager of Chakaria Branch Md. Mijanul Karim, the Manager of Madunaghat Branch Mohammad Faisal and the Station Master of Cox’s Bazar Railway Station Mehedi Hasan were present at the Program.
