FYD Career Conference & Job Fair 2025 Celebrated as a Resounding Success

 The three-day Foundation For Youth Development (FYD) Career Conference & Job Fair 2025, organized by the Foundation for Youth Development (FYD), concluded in Lalmonirhat with notable success, as 63 candidates secured employment through direct recruitment by leading national and international organizations.

The conference, inaugurated on September 13 at the Lalmonirhat District Council Auditorium. The opening ceremony was graced by Principal Asadul Habib Dulu, Former Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of the Government of Bangladesh, as Chief Guest, alongside FYD President Nasreen Nahar Geneva as Special Guest.

In his address, the Chief Guest stressed the importance of skill development and professional training, urging the younger generation to build their capacity and contribute to the nation’s progress. He commended FYD for its vision in creating opportunities for youth and called for the continuity of such initiatives. Ms. Nasreen Nahar Geneva highlighted the growing need for skilled manpower in Bangladesh to compete globally and thanked all stakeholders for their support.

Throughout the event, distinguished speakers including Foundation for Youth Development (FYD) Founder & Secretary General Mr. Mirza Rakib Hasan Shovon and Executive Committee Member Mr. Habibur Rahman Habib emphasized sustainable development, youth empowerment, and the creation of a knowledge-driven workforce. The conference drew significant participation from social leaders, educators, and professionals of Lalmonirhat, as well as Rotary Club members and media representatives.

Also present at the event were Mr. Mohammad G. Jisan, Secretary of PR & Communications; Aparajita Sangeeta, Core Council Member; Md. Shawon Islam, Member Secretary; Hossain Ferdous; Ms. Nargis Nahar Merry; Khorshedul Anwar, along with many others.

In addition, distinguished social leaders, educationists, and professionals of Lalmonirhat attended the program. Among them were Dr. Md. Kashem Ali, President of Rotary Club, Lalmonirhat; former Upazila Chairman A.K.M. Mominul Haque; former Rotary Club President Mr. Rafiqul Islam; Mr. Abdus Salam Bakul; and Mr. Abul Hasat Rana, correspondent of The Financial Express, among others.

Speakers emphasized that ensuring broad and effective support for the youth of Lalmonirhat—and across the country—is a pressing need of the time. They noted that through the Career Conference, participants would gain hands-on training, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the development of new entrepreneurs. They further highlighted that entrepreneurship development programs and human resource initiatives will play a vital role in shaping careers and fostering youth employment.

The concluding day, September 15, marked a milestone as the job fair connected aspiring candidates directly with recruiters. Prominent corporations including Berger Paints Bangladesh, ACI PLC, YCDH, and MRS Group of Companies actively participated, with many offering on-spot recruitment. In total, 63 candidates received job offers, making the fair a remarkable success for both employers and participants.

FYD President Nasreen Nahar Geneva chaired the closing ceremony, with Founder & Secretary General Mirza Rakib Hasan Shovon playing a central role in the initiative’s execution.

For years, FYD has been dedicated to enhancing youth skills, promoting entrepreneurship, and building pathways for employment. With the successful completion of the Career Conference & Job Fair 2025, FYD has once again opened new doors for Bangladesh’s young generation to enter the corporate world with confidence.
