Shahjalal Islami Bank inks a Remittance Disbursement Agreement with Nagad
Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC inked a remittance disbursement agreement with Nagad at Bank’s Corporate Head Office on January 25 to ensure that remittances sent by expatriates reach their beneficiaries quickly and seamlessly. The Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and the Administrator of Nagad Md. Motasem Billah signed in the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under the agreement, remittances sent from abroad will be directly delivered to the beneficiaries’ Nagad mobile wallets on behalf of Shahjalal Islami Bank. As a result, expatriates will be able to easily send money through international exchange houses, money transfer operators (MTOs) or banks. Beneficiaries will be able to receive and use this money 24 hour a day, anywhere, including remote areas of the country.
Among others, the Additional Managing Director of the Bank Imtiaz U. Ahmed, the Deputy Managing Directors M. M. Saiful Islam and Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA, the head of IT Division & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Khandker Bedoura Mahbub, the Associate Administrator of Nagad Anwar Ullah, the Chief Commercial Officer Mohammad Shaheen Sarwar Bhuiyan, the head of Media & Communication of Nagad Muhammad Zahidul Islam (sajal), the Head of Foreign Remittance Department of the bank Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain and the Head of Public Relations and Bank Foundation of the bank K. M. Harunur Rashid along with other officials of both the organizations were present at the signing ceremony.
