Ascott Palace Dhaka Appoints Hospitality Veteran Dipankar Das Milton as New General Manager

Ascott Palace Dhaka has appointed hospitality professional Dipankar Das Milton as its new General Manager, marking a significant leadership transition at the property. His promotion reflects a long-standing career in Bangladesh’s hospitality sector, characterized by operational expertise, leadership experience, and a strong focus on service excellence.

Milton began his career at Seagull Hotels Ltd., where he worked in the Front Office department and developed foundational skills in guest relations and hotel operations. He later joined Lakeshore Hotel & Apartments in Dhaka as Assistant Front Office Manager, gaining further experience in managing service delivery in a competitive urban hospitality environment.

He subsequently moved to The Westin Dhaka, a property under Marriott International, where he expanded his professional exposure within an international hospitality framework. During his tenure there, he developed expertise in handling high-pressure operations while maintaining global service standards.

Milton joined Ascott Palace Dhaka as Executive Assistant Manager, where he played a key role in improving operational efficiency and enhancing guest experience. His performance in that role led to his elevation to General Manager, a position in which he is expected to oversee the hotel’s strategic direction and daily operations.

Industry observers note that his leadership style combines staff engagement with a results-driven approach, qualities considered essential in navigating the evolving post-pandemic hospitality landscape.
