Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport Hosts ‘Imperial Flavors of China’ Festival
Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport is hosting a week-long Chinese food and cultural festival, titled ‘Imperial Flavors of China’, from August 13 to 19, bringing together Chinese cuisine, culture and heritage at the hotel’s Mosaic restaurant.
The festival features an extensive dinner buffet showcasing authentic Chinese delicacies, Asian-inspired dishes and traditional desserts. Among the featured items are Ma Lai Go, Jian Dui (sesame balls), Chinese egg tarts, traditional mooncakes, Eight-Treasure Rice Pudding, almond jelly with lychee and Chinese banana fritters.
The buffet also includes Asian specialties such as Thai sweet coconut sticky rice with mango, coconut tapioca pudding with mango and pomelo, and five-spice chocolate chiffon cake.
Alongside the food experience, guests can enjoy Chinese cultural performances throughout the week, including Dragon Dance and other traditional showcases.
The festival was inaugurated by Sun Xin, Station Manager of Air China, marking the start of the week-long celebration.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager, IHG Southwest Asia and Cluster General Manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka Airport, said the festival was designed to offer guests an immersive experience combining authentic Chinese flavours, traditional delicacies and cultural performances.
US-Bangla Airlines, the airline partner of the festival, is offering one round-trip air ticket between Dhaka and Guangzhou, adding a travel element to the celebration.
NCC Bank is serving as the banking partner, while guests can also avail themselves of a special Dine 4, Pay 1 offer through selected cards from NCC Bank, BRAC Bank, Dhaka Bank, Midland Bank and other participating banks, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Located near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport said the festival reflects its continued efforts to offer distinctive culinary and cultural experiences to guests.
The ‘Imperial Flavors of China’ dinner buffet will remain available at Mosaic until August 19.
