Bangladesh Joins Worldchefs: A Historic Milestone for Bangladeshi Chefs
Bangladesh has entered a new chapter in its culinary journey with the Bangladesh Culinary Foundation (BCF) becoming an official National Society Member of Worldchefs (World Association of Chefs’ Societies).
As the first President of BCF, I am deeply honored to have led this historic achievement, opening new doors for Bangladeshi chefs in international education, professional development, certification pathways, and global culinary competitions.
My journey as a culinary professional has been shaped by years of dedication, discipline, and a passion for mentoring young chefs. As Executive Pastry Chef at Le Méridien Dhaka, I believe true leadership means sharing knowledge, developing talent, and creating opportunities for the next generation.
Bangladesh has an extraordinary culinary heritage, from traditional regional dishes to centuries-old cooking techniques. Our mission is to preserve this identity while bringing Bangladeshi cuisine to the world stage.
Through BCF, we aim to build a united, skilled, and internationally recognized culinary community where young professionals can learn, grow, and represent Bangladesh with pride.
I sincerely thank our founding members, executive committee, advisers, and supporters. My special gratitude goes to my mentor, Master Chef Nazim Khan, whose guidance and vision played an important role in this achievement.
My message to young chefs: Choose the right path, learn from experienced mentors, and associate with credible professional organizations. Build your future through education, discipline, integrity, and genuine culinary skills. Never stop learning, and never forget your roots.
The white jacket represents responsibility, professionalism, and pride. Wear it with dignity.
